| Lelwapa: these sober colors never cease to amaze me |
You would be lucky if you see any African country sorely homogeneous, that is, composed of only one ethnic group or should I say a tribal group.The latter word/ phrase may cause colonial hitches depending on who is saying it. I watched at one point in a mass lecture here at home an American Lecturer being harassed for saying tribe.The poor Lecturer tried to explain but couldn't convince the mob. it nearly turned into an ugly scene had it not been the intervention of a local fellow.I an only remember Lesotho which is only full of Basotho as for the rest you will see all myriads of cultures, identities etc. This topic comes by for lately with my colleagues we have been discussing issues of Africa and why it was easily colonized. The ethnic seed meant to create beauty can be and has been a curse.Africa my Africa should realize hat these difference in cultures and identities is meant create this beauty .In Botswana we are just under 2 million and yet there are overly 40 ethnic groups.Among San people for example who are probably around 60 000, there have different types of clicks, what a beautiful language this is, have you heard a Xhosa speak something similar, magnifique
