Earth replenishing itself

Saved by Sandy Grant at Decorated Homes in Botswana, its the colours, shapes, forms and designs that captivate me all the time. Im not sure what it is with earth colors that make them  so awestriking everytime I look at them. And so with the looming climate change, i must say this about what I see and observe around my place of birth called Makopong. It is dotted right in the borderline of Botswana and South Africa south of the Kalahari along the famous Molopo river .While climate change spells doom and gloom, there is a place where we used to play which was a sand dune, this area was covered with nothing but sand after sand, it was a place where the young congregated and had fun.The strech of this land was quite huge. This place is no more, it has become shrubby, with some trees developing and with patches of greenes espeecially after the rains. This landscape has competely changed. The Kalahari pans are aslo growing trees, grass and shrubs. This year alone there have frequency of rain in this area like never before while in the north of Botswana there has been less rain, mosquitor has also become rife in this area atleast where I was born  indicating that there may be a shift of earth movement. We should also recall that the Kalahari was once an ocean, so could it be that the earth is only replenishing itself rather than carbondioxide emissions or is it a combination?
What a huge dissappointment, Copenhagen Conference on Climate Change bears no fruit, one only wonders how much was spent: food, water, beverages, electricity, water bills, accomodation and other protocol fees.Zimbabwe president, Mugabe for one attended amid so much problems in his country and averting attention from real issues.Shoppers in Zim given sweets instead of change, i mean hellow.Atleast here at home our Minster attended the last three days just to save to cover up for other presing issues such as poverty, minimal as it is but its something.
hei there my posts dont display immediatetly, why?

You've got some outstanding pictures! i lived in Nigeria (Lagos and Ife) for 2 to 3 years, and i didn't see this kind of beauty...though i had an unforgettable experience.

i paint and like art in most forms, and your photos drew me into your blog, and i'm so very glad it did! i'll stop by again soon and check out more of your blog entries :D

i'm glad that you're planning to post the other side(s) of Africa. After all, the world is mainly populated by the poor and oppressed -- the minority are the rich and powerful...which sad to say, pretty much rule the world today.

i look forward to seeing more of Africa through your eyes. :)
